The Bolin Firm is a consultation only law firm in California and New York. The Bolin Firm’s goal is to facilitate a better, more efficient, and satisfying resolution of legal matters, preferably before they become an issue. A proper risk assessment is a preferred first start. If controversy ensues, our goal is to give you a clearer understanding of what to expect including costs, length of time and the issues involved. The Bolin Firm is a legal consultation only law practice and as such provides only limited scope attorney-client relationship. Thus, The Bolin Firm does not seek to be retained to handle your case from start to finish. The relationship is terminated once the consultation session you paid for is completed. Your secrets and confidences are maintained.

All consultations will be with Ngozi E. Bolin, Esq. via zoom conferencing.

These following Legal Consultation Terms and Conditions, apply to The Bolin Firm and the Firm’s website. By using The Bolin Firm’s website and any of our features or services, you agree to all our terms and conditions that you will find below (“Legal Consultation Terms & Conditions”).

These Legal Consultation Terms & Conditions are The Bolin Firm’s rules for using the firm’s services and website. If you do not agree to any of these Legal Consultation Terms & Conditions, you must not use The Bolin Firm or the firm’s services.

1. Legal Consultation Terms & Conditions

a. Appointments

The Bolin Firm allows Users such as you to make appointment(s) for the sole purpose of consulting with The Bolin Firm, in order to secure legal advice from The Bolin Firm. The Bolin Firm’s primary objective is to help individuals and organizations resolve their legal disputes quickly and effectively. The Bolin Firm practices law in two categories, viz: Human Resources Investigations on behalf of organizations and limited scope Consultations Services in multiple areas of law including coaching other lawyers through their litigations processes.

b. Fees

The Bolin Firm charges a flat fee per hour. To have your consultation time with Ngozi E. Bolin, Esq., you must first book your appointment with our online appointment tab. We require that the time you need must be fully pre-paid through our booking system. When you make your appointment with The Bolin Firm, you will pay a fee to secure that appointment. That fee is called Attorney’s Fee and is a payment by which you compensate The Bolin Firm for the time to be spent in providing you with legal consultation with The Bolin Firm. Your appointment is for a telephone or video legal consultation booked in 60-minute intervals of your choosing. The time you need for your consultation must be fully pre-paid prior to your consultation. You will choose the time convenient to you from the posted calendar during your appointment scheduling. Once your fee is paid, you will receive instructions to log in for your  zoom consultation. If you require a translator, make sure the translator is with you at the time of your consultation.

c. Consultation only

Unless The Bolin Firm enters into a signed retainer agreement with you, you must understand that you are a prospective client, as that term is defined by the rules of professional conduct, governing the conduct of attorneys. It is important to emphasis that The Bolin Firm is a consultation only, counseling law firm. Your information is still confidential and cannot be disclosed. Your communication will be held in confidence and your secrets will be protected and preserved. That allows you to freely seek legal advice from the firm. However, that legal advice must not seek the commission of a crime.

d. Pre-Payment Non Refundable Reservations

Booking your appointment must be pre-paid in full. The terms of the pre-payment nonrefundable reservations require full payment to be made at the time of booking. Payment will be processed and debited from the authorized credit card account. No refund will be offered for cancellations, no-shows, and early conclusion of consultations. Changes or amendments to the reservation will be termed as cancellations and no refund will be offered. If you cannot keep your appointment, you must notify us at least 24 hours before your appointment, so we can reschedule you to another date. Failure to do so will be considered a no-show.

2. Acceptance of Terms

The use of The Bolin Firm is governed by these Legal Consultation Terms & Conditions, the various disclaimers appearing on our site, and our Privacy Policy. By visiting or using The Bolin Firm you agree to be bound by these terms. In addition, you understand that the specific method, features, and services offered on The Bolin Firm’s website may be altered, improved, removed or adapted at any time by The Bolin Firm in its sole discretion and without any notice. If you do not agree with any of these terms, do not use this site.

3. Inappropriate Content

You agree that you will not use The Bolin Firm to post any advertisement or other commercial messages. You agree that you will not post any knowingly false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, harassing, obscene, sexually oriented, or threatening message, or material that is illegally invasive of another person’s privacy.

4. Indemnification

You agree that you are solely responsible for anything you post on The Bolin Firm’s website, and you agree to indemnify and hold The Bolin Firm harmless from and against any claim, loss, damage, expense, or liability (including attorney’s fees and costs) that may result, in whole or in part, from your posts/submissions or use of The Bolin Firm.

5. Limited Scope Attorney-Client Relationship

The Bolin Firm only accepts prospective clients from California and New York where Attorney Bolin is admitted to and authorized to practice law. The Bolin Firm accepts prospective clients for consultation only. You agree as follows:

■ You agree that this a limited scope attorney-client relationship.

■ You agree that your relationship with The Bolin Firm is limited to consultation to get legal information and advice about your matter.

■ You agree that The Bolin Firm is not on a retainer. The Bolin Firm operates strictly on consulting with and advising you on your matter, during the time you have pre-paid and reserved with the firm.

■ You agree that you have no continuing ongoing relationship with The Bolin Firm, other than any pre-paid reserved time with the firm.

■ You agree that the limited scope relationship terminates at the conclusion of the pre-paid consultation time. You agree that the duration of the limited scope attorney-client relationship is only as to the time that you pre-paid for. The relationship ends as soon as the pre-paid session is over.

■ If you require additional consultation, you may book those additional blocks of time. The limited scope relationship terminates at the conclusion of each booked and pre-paid consultation period.

■ You agree that the scope of the limited scope attorney-client relationship extends only to issues you bring up during the pre-paid consultation session period.

■ You agree that The Bolin firm is relieved from any duty to further investigate, follow-up, take any other action, or represent you in any further way.

■ You agree that if you require additional legal services outside of the scope of your pre-paid counseling session with The Bolin Firm, that you will retain separate counsel who will handle your case on a full-scope, traditional law firm basis.

7. Arbitration

Unless prohibited by law, you agree that any dispute or controversy arising out of these Legal Consultation Terms & Conditions or your use of The Bolin Firm, shall be settled by Arbitration to be held in Los Angeles County, State of California, in accordance with the rules then in effect of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitrator may grant injunctions or other relief in such dispute or controversy. The decision of the arbitrator shall be final, conclusive, and binding. Judgment may be entered on the arbitrator’s decision in any court having jurisdiction. The parties shall each pay one-half of the costs and expenses of such arbitration, and each of the parties shall separately bear the costs of and pay their own counsel/attorney’s fees and expenses.

8. Modification of Terms

The Bolin Firm may modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued use of this site following any change constitutes your acceptance of the change. We therefore ask you to review these Legal Consultation Terms & Conditions occasionally to ensure that you are aware of the most recent version.

9. Interpretation of the Terms & Conditions

This agreement shall not be construed against any party, regardless as to who may have drafted the Agreement.

10. Governing Law

These Legal Consultation Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, U.S.A.
